A full body exercise that is easy on the joints and suitable for all ages and abilities. Using specially designed poles that make use of upper body muscles and help to propel the walker along, Nordic Walking is a great way of keeping at your own pace. This activity is suitable for anyone aged 18+.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment however should you need to borrow walking poles your instructor will be able to provide more information on your arrival.
This makes an ideal park to practice Nordic walking as there are a variety of surfaces some undulating terrain and gentle hills all of which make good for keeping up or improving fitness levels.
There is also a small café for after walk socialising and male or female toilets. Parking is free on either side of the park in The Bourne and Broadwalk Roads and adjoining roads. The park can also be accessed by public transport and the underground - Piccadilly line to Southgate.
