Bereaved Carers Support Group

Enfield Carers Centre

Second Tuesday of every month 11 am-1 pm online

Meet other ex-carers, build a life after caring, share your tips, experiences and concerns and discuss coping strategies. Grief is a natural reaction to losing a person you care about. There's no “correct way” to grieve. Our experiences of grief are unique. Grieving can be painful. It can’t be instantly fixed and it won’t just disappear. However, grief and heartache will lessen and there will come a time in

the future where you will be able to cope better with your loss.

ECC has run a therapeutic Bereavement Group for a number of years and has supported many carers during that time.

This group discusses the Seven Stages of Grief and provides a safe and supportive space for bereaved carers to talk, share or just listen.

11th July - Step 7 Acceptance & Hope

8th August - Reflection / Next steps

12th September - Step 1 Shock & Denial

10th October - Step 2 Pain & Guilt

14th November - Step 3 Anger & Bargaining

12th December - Step 4 Depression

Steps 5, 6, 7 and Reflection will follow next year
